What advice would you give a prospective resident/fellow?

Make sure to ask about the following during your interview: Didactics (whether they are faculty or resident driven); how the intern year molds into the rest of the residency (how is the internyear beneficial to your training); what is the call schedule like (i.e. 24hr call, 16 hr call, night float system), how is the relationship with CRNAs, are there SRNA students integrated into your training program?

What most attracted you to doing your GME training here?

The internal moonlighting opportunities attracted me to this program. Most residency programs expect you to stay late at times without “late stay” pay opportunities. It was nice to know that our program would pay us if they needed us to stay later than expected.

Using 3 words, how would you describe your training program and community? Why?

Camaraderie and clinically strong
